Overview
Kurkik reads your messaging systems - Apache Kafka, Apache Pulsar, Amazon SNS and Amazon SQS - and writes what it finds as an AsyncAPI 3.0.0 document. It then compares documents with the systems that actually run, and can apply a document to a system as a plan you approve.
What you get from an export
Section titled “What you get from an export”- Channels for every topic: partitions, replication factor, the settings somebody changed.
- Servers for the brokers that answered.
- Consumers: a consumer group with live members becomes a
receiveoperation. - Schemas, optionally: the real Avro, JSON Schema or Protobuf definitions from a Confluent-compatible registry (Confluent, Karapace, Redpanda, Apicurio).
- Honesty: whatever could not be read is stated in the document itself, and in an export report.
A broker does not know who publishes to a topic, so Kurkik never invents send operations.
Where it runs
Section titled “Where it runs”kurkik, the command line, with a terminal UI and an MCP server for agents.- The AsyncAPI plugin for JetBrains IDEs, built on the same engine.
